Kiwanis installs new team of officers on Sept. 26 for Year No. 60

Kiwanis Club of Tempe replaces a K with a K in the top leadership post when President Kerry Fetherston turns over the gavel on Monday night Sept. 26 to President-Elect Kathy Stevens, who will lead KCOT through the 2011-12 years as it marks its 60th anniversary since its founding.

Still time to register for KCOT event to mark change of Club leadership

President-Elect Kathy Stevens urged members Thursday to get their reservations in for the 60th annual Kiwanis Club of Tempe Officers Induction and Awards Night at the community room of Bridgeview Condominiums, 140 E. Rio Salado Parkway.  It will be Monday Sept. 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with reception and hors d'oevres. A strong turnout is expected.  All coming are reminded that the parking garage, west of the building closes, at 6 p.m. While cars can get out, none may enter after 6 p.m., or parking must be found elsewhere.  It is the third straight year that the changing of the KCOT guard has taken place there.

 

Those attending will be assessed $20 per person on their quarterly statements.  Besides the installation of officers and board members, outgoing President Kerry Fetherston will review her year and honor those who had key roles in the work of the 2010-11 year.  Kathy's team will be installed and she will then share her year's theme, plans and visions. Incoming Div. 10 Lt. Gov. Lon Lawrenz will oversee the installation.
